　　Granddaughter of company founder Mario Prada runs the luxury-clothing company with husband Patrizio Bertelli. She is lead designer; he is chief executive. Their fiery relationship fuels interesting designs, most recently a Prada menswear show featuring urban-warrior-inspired fashion. Recently hired over-40 actress Kim Basinger as new face of sister brand Miu Miu (Miuccia's nickname). While her designer counterparts Karl Lagerfeld (Chanel, Fendi) and Stella McCartney (her own brand) designed affordable collections for H&M, Prada contends she will not follow suit. In February Prada agreed to sell lagging Jil Sander brand to U.K. private equity firm Change Capital Partners for reported $65 million.
